Papa Roach occurs as Nu Metal band from northern California, formed in 1993 and consisting of frontman Coby Dick (who since 2002 goes again by his forename Jacoby Shaddix, and later on, using the title Johnny Vodka), together using Jerry Horton, Dave Buckner, and Tobin Esperance. A title "Papa Roach" comes from either a roach & when Papa Roach says: "When a bomb explodes, what's going to survive? Cockroaches." A title comes from either Coby's grandad nicknamed "Papa" whose cognomen was Roatch. It got mostly regional profits until their breakthrough using a hit lone "Last Resort" from either their foremost major label album, Infest.

When of 2004, Jacoby Shaddix has given up rapping, chiefly due to the decline of rap-metal in the early 2000s, and has focused in good heavy metal as he stated to the Dallas Music Choice.

August of 2004 saw a release of their latest album, "Getting Away with Murder". Touring on the brobdingnagian popularity of the albums 2nd lone "Scars", Papa Roach use at times presently sold One million albums & have reached atomic number 78 status. 2005 has seen continous touring, including the fully European tour.
